About us
Following two successful Art Exhibitions which were organised by W. Bro. Terry Lambert in 2022 and 2023 as part of the English Heritage Open Days at Hoyle Court Masonic Hall it was suggested that this be repeated throughout the Province.
Accordingly, in late 2023 a committee was formed consisting of; Chairman W. Bro. Terry lambert, Vice Chairman W. Br. Roger Powell, Secretary/Treasurer W. Bro. Stefan Kowalczyk and Bro Edvard Kiurkchian was appointed the Communications Manager. On 1st. January 2024 WR Masonic Arts and Crafts was launched.
Since we are a Province wide group we cannot meet at a regular venue but organise our activities by means of emails, Zoom meetings, and a WhatsApp group, we also have occasional in person meetings.
By these means in our first year we organised :
Attendance at Connaught Court where we were able to add to the funds raised there.
We held Heritage Open Day exhibitions at: Harrogate, Pudsey and Baildon Masonic Halls.
An exhibition at Castle Grove Masonic Hall
A monthly Provincial Facebook posting featuring and offering for sale items of artwork and craftwork produced by our members.
A successful Children’s Competition
The Provincial Christmas Card Competition
In our second year we will repeat and add to last year’s activities. The Provincial Calendar Competition is currently underway and more exhibitions are being planned.
We are keen to support the ethos of the Third Pillar initiative so we make efforts to reach out to the public at large. The Children’s Competition was an example of such efforts as it was open to and entered into by children of Masons and those who had no Masonic connections at all
We have evolved from a group of Masonic Arts and Crafts people with a common interest into a functioning Special Interest Group providing services to the Province and are embedded in it’s infrastructure.
We offer our members their own gallery on the website, numerous opportunities to exhibit their work, occasional “in “person “meetings, Zoom demonstrations and a lively WhatsApp group. If you wish to join in this splendid enterprise, our membership is open to all Masons and members of their families, for more details or to please email the secretary at
